Robyn is the Asia Pacific Housing Forum Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity International and President Emeritus of Women In Real Estate Kenya (WIRE). She is also the Chair of the Nairobi City County’s Women in Leadership and Decision-Making Taskforce. She is the founding project lead of Leadership Nairobi which develops and connects community leaders. As an urban planner and participatory engagement practitioner have initiated several programmes and interventions that have transformed whole communities and segments within for over 18 years in Kenya and nearly 30 years in the US.
She is the co-author of ‘Building in Kenya: A Real Estate Developers Toolkit’ now in its Second Edition and Co-host of BIK Mjengo Clinics, the only comprehensive book providing open-source information on the building process. She is the co-founder of the Kilimani Project Foundation (an internationally recognized community foundation) leading on its several of the organizations seminal projects. She is a Board Member of Buildher (empowers Kenyan Women through connecting advocacy, accredited construction skills and life skills training to employment) and KDI (works with local residents to transform unsafe and under-used sites into “Productive Public Spaces”). Additionally, she weekly leads transformational and leadership seminars for graduates of the Landmark Forum in Africa.
