Njeri Ngaruiya Ng’ang’a (PhD) is a researcher specializing in ICT for development and sustainability which she believes is the way to contextualise lasting solutions that are accepted and adopted. This thought is enhanced with the adoption of human-centred methodologies that highly regards empathy as one synthesizes the possible solutions in the context of the people under study as one considers different factors ranging from culture, literacy levels, infrastructure, and emerging technologies amongst others.

Njeri is currently a lecturer in the School of Computing and Information Technologies at the Technical University of Kenya, an ICT4D researcher and a consultant. She is also the Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering – Kenya Section. She also takes up the role of mentorship to Inspire, Encourage, Empower and Engage young ladies and gents in STEAMM-related areas.
