An engineer by training, a seasoned project/program manager mainly in IT and telecoms, as well as an international trainer and multilingual keynote speaker—having worked in 4 continents before returning to Africa.
He works at UNITEL, Angola’s largest telecom operator, as a project/program manager and head of the Mobile Data Core Network Development & Quality team. In this role, João helped leverage cutting-edge technology, while fostering innovation and disruption within the sector and the country, through the delivery of programs, projects, and the development of professionals.
As a service to its community, João helped Project Management Institute (PMI) Angola Chapter become official and remains a very active member and volunteer. He frequently presents workshops and led the Nomination Committee for the first elections. He has served as the Education Director and nowadays is the VP of Education and Professional Development of PMI Angola. He also currently holds positions and volunteers in several high-profile organizations impacting the development of the country, the continent, and its people.
